Understanding humor is often one of the final stages of language learning because jokes rely on much more than vocabulary. They require cultural knowledge, pronunciation awareness, timing, and an intuitive feel for the language itself.
In this episode, we explore several examples of uniquely Chinese humor, including puns, homophones, cold jokes, and character-based wordplay.
